As the result of a tragic accident on the afternoon of Friday, June 19th, we are forced to say our goodbyes to Elliot (29 years) and his youngest son, Andrew (5 years).

 

Elliot was spending time with the two most important boys in his world - his sons, 7-year old Nathaniel and 5-year old Andrew, and some friends. They were wading across the Wisconsin River to a well-known sandbar in the Lodi, Wisconsin area – as so many local kids & adults have done for generations. Without warning, the sand collapsed under their feet and the current quickly carried them downstream.

 

Elliot acted heroically as he struggled to keep his sons above water. After two local neighbors came to their assistance, a female friend and Elliot's oldest son Nathaniel, were rescued. At that point, Elliot struggled to reach land with his youngest son Andrew, but was unable to do so.

 

Elliot and Andrew will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
